Every Adam Sandler Movie Ranked Worst To Best

34. Pixels (2015)

The Waterboy Adam Sandler
Columbia Pictures

Call this a nothing movie: Sandler plays a professional gamer who's hit rock bottom, his best friend (Kevin James) is the US President, and both of them must team-up when famous games invade Earth.

Sandler has always loved counting on nostalgia to get butts in seats, but Pixels is so devoid of feeling it makes its homage to 80s gaming feel painfully dull.

With tired performances, thin characters and thinner heart, Pixels is Sandler going through the motions and saying nothing new about growing up or friendship. In the 90s, this might have worked; in 2015, it might just be his most forgettable movie.

I get to write about what I love, so that's pretty cool. Every great film should seem new every time you see it. Be excellent to each other.
