After several directors were attached (and Ben Affleck was apparently offered the chance to do it himself) Spider-Man: Homecoming writers John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein are now directing Flashpoint, which is set for a 2020 rumoured release.

Some are calling it the DCEU's opportunity to be rebooted fully, given the time travel/alternate reality aspects of the plot (and Ezra Miller has said that the franchise "will inevitably be torn asunder" by it). So expect big shockwaves.

Will It Happen?

You'd have to think so - it's one of the projects that is currently being spoken about publicly the most. And if it genuinely does offer an opportunity to really shake things up and right some wrongs with the DCEU timeline, Warner Bros would be mad to ignore the chance.
