Every DC Movie That's Just Been Delayed
1. Aquaman 2 (December 16 2022)
The final film officially on the DCEU schedule, the sequel to the 2018 smash hit Aquaman has so far maintained its pre-Christmas 2022 release date, and so far there is no reason to question this. Jason Moama is set to return in the titular role, with James Wan also returning to the Director's chair. The first entry made $1 Billion at the box office, so no doubt hopes are high for another box office smash. Production is on track to begin in Early 2021 in Australia, which thus far is coping as well as any country in regards the current situation.
The biggest concern is in regards to the publicity surrounding one of the stars of the movie, Amber Heard. Heard is currently engaged in a bitter court case against ex-husband Johnny Depp, which no doubt would have Warner Bros. worried. Even if the verdict doesn't go against Heard, it will be interesting to see how Warner Bros. react to any potential bad publicity resulting from the case.
In other Aquaman related news, Warner Bros. have announced that an Aquaman spinoff is currently in pre-production, titled The Trench. The movie, which has been described as 'horror-tinged', will follow the amphibious monsters who were featured in the first entry.
