Every Film & TV Show CENSORED On Disney+

10. The Simpsons

Splash Butt Censorship
20th Television

Disney have excised not just a line or a scene but an entire episode from the long-running show about Springfield’s first family.

The Simpsons has been running for over thirty years now so it’s not surprising not every joke has stood the test of time. Over its many, many episodes The Simpson’s has touched on various divisive topics and even included a rape joke in a crossover episode with Family Guy. They’ve also faced controversy over their depiction of Apu, the stereotypical Asian American shopkeeper voiced by a white actor.

There was a even a brief moment of full frontal nudity from Bart in the family’s big screen outing but Disney haven’t yet given that the Daryl Hannah treatment. Instead the episode they’ve removed is Stark Raving Dad from Season 3, featuring a voice acting (and singing) performance from Michael Jackson.

It’s not exactly shocking that Disney don’t want to associate their brand with the controversial star and the episode had already been removed from Hulu after the Leaving Neverland documentary aired last year.

In the Eighties Jackson played the lead in Captain EO, a short 3D film that was an exclusive attraction at Disney parks. It’s hard to state just how far his star has fallen since then.
