Every Halloween Movie Ranked Worst To Best
7. Halloween Kills
Halloween Kills admittedly loses its way a little during its second half, but there is still plenty to appreciate about this second leg of David Gordon Green's trilogy. Not least, the impressive opening flashback to the events of Halloween 1978 and the arrest of Michael Myers.
Another bonus of Halloween Kills, is the return of the Tommy Doyle, Lindsey Wallace, Lonnie Elam, Leigh Brackett, and Marion Chambers characters. Tommy was last seen in The Curse of Michael Myers, Sheriff Brackett was last seen in Halloween II, and Marion was last seen in H20, though those movies are not part of the canon followed by this recent trilogy.
Still, 40 years since Michael's original rampage, these Haddonfield residents are celebrating... only to soon realise the Shape is back in town. Showing the trauma, fear and, ultimately, resolve such a tragedy can place on a community is an interesting angle, but seriously, the mob hunting down Michael with the intent to kill... then beating him to 'death' but not checking the job has been finished... yeah, that just makes the residents look like idiots.
