Every Halloween Movie (They Never Actually Made)

In the same way as Wes Craven's New Nightmare and Scream 2, Halloween: A New Evil was set to be a film within a film, posited as beginning with a girl wandering through the old Myers house before someone yells 'cut' from off screen. In this film, people die by the hands of someone dressed up as Michael, with the characters in the in-movie film slowly picked off as the Michael-imposter roams free.

Laurie's son John would be killed, and Laurie herself would have committed suicide. The executive producer felt that the movie within a movie trope had quite literally been done to death, however, and didn't go for it in the end.
