Every James Bond Finale Ranked

19. Octopussy - Khan's Palace

James Bond Quantum of Solace
MGM

Octopussy, the not-very-good thirteenth film in the series, concludes with another inconsistent climax.

In the first part of the finale Bond, Octopussy (Maud Adams) and her female followers launch an assault on main villain Kamal Khan's (Louis Jordan) palace and this part is... just silly. There's a certain goofy charm to it, but it's nigh-on impossible to take seriously or get truly invested in.

But it's not all bad news, for the second part of the finale is a hell of a lot better. When Khan (Louis Jordan) and his henchman (Kabir Bedi) escape with Octopussy on Khan's plane Bond gives pursuit by literally hanging onto the plane as it soars high above the ground.

Ridiculous as it may be, the plane scene is pretty awesome and features stunning visuals in the bargain, allowing a largely weak film to conclude on a good note.
