Every Jared Leto Movie Ranked From Worst To Best

17. Highway (2002)

Jared Leto Suicide Squad
New Line Cinema

Highway just bleeds early 2000s from its every pore, starring Leto and Jake Gyllenhaal as two best pals who take a road trip to Seattle after one of them (Leto, of course) sleeps with a mobster's wife and catches a ton of violent heat for it.

Narratively and stylistically this thing is all over the place, but never descends below watchable thanks to the fun performances from Leto, Gyllenhaal, and Selma Blair.

It never really fully convinces as a movie set in 1994, though, which is a shame considering it unfolds amid the backdrop of Kurt Cobain's suicide.

Most importantly, though, Highway is worth watching to see John C. McGinley wearing dreadlocks while playing a middle-aged stoner called Johnny the Fox. Yup.
