Every Joker Movie Performance EVER Ranked From Worst To Best
3. Mark Hamill (Batman: Mask Of The Phantasm & Batman: The Killing Joke)
Mark Hamill began voicing The Joker in Batman: The Animated Series, and has since played the character in countless animated TV shows, video games, straight-to-DVD animations and even two theatrical animated features - 1993's Batman: Mask of the Phantasm and 2016's Batman: The Killing Joke.
Even accepting the apparent "handicap" of a purely voiced performance, Hamill's work has been near-universally acclaimed by Batman fans over the last three decades, with some even deeming his "Joker voice" the definitive one.
Nailing a perfect tightrope walk of menace and playfulness, Hamill is a brilliant foil for Kevin Conroy's steely iteration of Batman, and it certainly didn't hurt that The Animated Series and Mask of the Phantasm boasted some of the best animated Joker material ever.
Hamill's work is influential enough to have been imitated by many who dared to follow him, but not one has exceeded or even matched his efforts.
