39. LeClerc - Jurassic World Rebirth

After successfully obtaining live DNA samples from the Mosasaurus and Titanosaurus, it came time for Zora and her team to do the same with the Quetzalcoatlus. However, this was an airborne predator the size of a school bus, and so getting a sample from the animal itself was unlikely.

This saw the team, or what was left of the team, essentially abseil down a cliff to the bird's nest, to take a sample from one of its eggs. You could argue that entering the Quetzalcoatlus' territory like this was even more dangerous, as it was always going to defend it.

This was something that LeClerc (Bechir Sylvain) learned the hard way. Caught in no man's land while trying to get back up the cliff to "safety", he was caught by the gigantic bird and eaten in two simple bites.

LeClerc didn't do anything necessarily stupid in this - there was nothing he could have done differently, and he followed the plan - but yet again, you can trace this back to the stupid decision to head into the island to begin with. As Mahershala Ali's Duncan Kincaid put it so eloquently, no one was dumb enough to go where they were going, and this is why.
