15. Hela - Thor: Ragnarok

If this was a list of the best villain looks in the MCU (someone should do that!), Hela would come very near the top. She was like an ego queen with an eye-make-up fetish and a no-fucks-given attitude and she was great on paper.

But because Thor: Ragnarok has a LOT of plot, she’s relegated to having to fight for screentime, when her story was worth a whole movie. At least she added a lot to Odin’s backstory that made him a more interesting character.

She was definitely a big threat, killing the Warriors Three and most of the Asgardians more effectively than Thanos even did and she came close to killing the basically invulnerable Thor, taking his eye as a trophy in the process.

Her plan was somewhat one-dimensional, but Asgard would always be a big trophy in Thor movies so it’s forgivable. And at least she looked great trying to take it.
