Every Marvel Cinematic Universe Villain Ranked Worst To Best
3. Ultron - Avengers: Age Of Ultron
Plan: Genocide, basically.
Status: Deceased.
Sure, James Spader hams his performance as Ultron up to an incredible degree, but the robot with a god complex is very easily one of Marvel's most entertaining villains. And if you're looking for someone to blame, blame his creator - Robert Downey Jr, whose performance as Tony Stark informed the need for Ultron to be so larger than life.
Spader's villain is a charismatic, calculating monster - the prototypical AI gone rogue, who borrows shades of Frankenstein and is delightfully eccentric to behold. Thanks to his super intellect and his ability to literally infect the Internet (and nt to mention Tony Stark's army of drones) Ultron is one of the most highly billed threats in the MCU, but it's his perverse humanity that really makes him dangerous.
He's also a villain who deserves to be known by his deeds: he took Ulysses Klaue's arm, he caused the Sokovian disaster and most pertinently, he killed Quicksilver - the only time a hero has really been murdered in any MCU film properly.
