Recent Updates?

While most of the Guardians cast were killed off at the end of Infinity War, there was already confirmation that we are getting a third movie in the franchise thanks to James Gunn. So at least some of the cast must be being revived to return.

One person who won't be returning now is James Gunn, who left the project in acrimonious circumstances after old social media posts came to light and Disney's hand was forced. The script was said to have been completed already, but that won't be much tonic to the people - including Dave Bautista - who are currently annoyed that Disney fired Gunn.

Will It Happen?

It is indeed. Even without Gunn, Marvel will press forward and it's not like there's not some good candidates to replace him out there. Lord and Miller, anyone?
