Every Matrix Fight Ranked Worst To Best

6. Neo Vs Super Agent Smith (The Matrix Revolutions)

In The Matrix Revolutions, Agent Smith turns every resident in The Matrix into a copy of himself. Worse still, he made a copy from The Oracle, creating a Smith that is even more powerful than Neo. In the climax, Neo faces off against this Super Agent Smith, hoping to save humanity and free Zion once and for all.

The first 15 seconds of this showdown is probably the best fighting choreography in the entire series. The two fighters reign blow after blow upon each other at dizzying speed while the pouring rain emphasises every impact.

But as soon as the two take to the air, it's a bit hit-and-miss. As they trounce each other in the sky, sometimes it looks like a battle between gods. But in other shots, it looks too cartoony. Watching Smith zoom around with a smoke trailing behind him makes him resemble a Looney Tunes character more than a Matrix villain.

Nevertheless, it's still a great mix of anime-styled fighting and traditional kung-fu. But considering this was supposedly the final battle in the former Matrix trilogy, we expected a bit more.
