Every Matt Damon Movie Ranked Worst To Best
30. Invictus (2009)
Clint Eastwood's political sports biopic casts Matt Damon in his most jarring role as a South African rugby player hoping to win the 1995 World Cup. Beside the moving script and a stellar performance from Morgan Freeman as Nelson Mandela, the film is let down only by Damon, who struggles throughout to hold his accent together.
Still, this blunder aside, Invictus is an emotionally-charged and informative drama that hits all the right notes from a story standpoint. Just a shame you never buy Damon's accent.
