Of the three movies releasing this year, the Ant-Man sequel is the furthest out, arriving on July 6th. And though it has the unenviable task of being the film that has to follow the hype of Avengers: Infinity War, it has the added bonus of a larger audience now being excited to see what it can deliver than the first film had thanks to Paul Rudd's Scott Lang turning up and stealing the show in Captain America: Civil War.

Unsurprisingly, it's also the film whose narrative we know the least about in 2018 simply because the focus has been on Black Panther and Infinity War, but what we do know has made it an exciting prospect. Aside from seeing how life as an even bigger fugitive has become for Scott following the events of Civil War, fans can look forward to finally seeing The Wasp fully join the MCU after being teased in Ant-Man, with Evangeline Lilly's Hope van Dyne suiting up and Janet van Dyne resurfacing - with Michelle Pfeiffer in the role - after being lost in the Quantum Realm for decades.

All the usual suspects are back, too, including Hank Pym and Luis, and they'll be joined by a whole slew of newcomers ripped from the comics, such as Laurence Fishburne as Bill Foster, Randall Park as Jimmy Woo, Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost, and Walton Goggins as Sonny Burch, the apparent villain of the film. With so much going for it, it's hard not to be stoked to see Ant-Man & the Wasp go bigger and bolder, digging deeper into the potential of its weird little section of the MCU it only scratched the surface of back in 2015.
