5. Jessica Jones: Season 2

Avengers Infinity War Justice League
Netflix/EW

After what has felt like an interminable wait, the second season of Jessica Jones will finally be arriving on March 8th. Like the new seasons of Luke Cage or Daredevil, the return of Jessica Jones will undoubtedly be picking up from where The Defenders left Jessica in terms of what she learned during her time with the team, in particular the idea of heroism and sacrifice she saw in Matt Murdock and his "death."

Of course, there's also still much to be dealt with left over from the first season, whether it be the investigation into IGH, what's become of Will Simpson since we last saw him, the potential for Trish Walker to become Wildcat, and the exploration of just how deeply Kilgrave's death by her hand has affected Jessica. As usual, she'll be joined by familiar faces like Trish, Malcolm, and Jeri Hogarth, and it's no secret that Kilgrave will still haunt the show and its characters, though to what extent remains to be seen.

Joining the cast this season, too, are J.R. Ramirez as Oscar, Jessica's new superintendent, and Leah Gibson as Ingrid, a nurse, but whether their characters have comic counterparts is being kept a secret, just like much of the finer details about the season itself. Until March - or at least until the arrival of a new trailer - fans can tide themselves over with the brief teaser that dropped in early December as we all wait to see if Jessica's sophomore outing can top her acclaimed debut.
