Every MCU Avenger Ranked From Weakest To Strongest

5. Hulk

When the Avengers first teamed up in 2012, the Hulk may have been the obvious answer as the strongest member of the team. He was the muscle in a team bursting with muscle, and was famed for how he destroyed both Culver University and the city of Harlem.

The mindless brute was so strong that Banner was forced to keep him contained for as long as possible, simply because of the threat he posed, and the angrier he got, the stronger he became. Banner's alter ego ultimately grew to be hated on Earth, because of his uncontrollable, immeasurable strength.

Throughout his time in the MCU, the Incredible Hulk has destroyed an entire helicarrier in moments, reigned as the Grandmaster's champion for who knows how long, and like Giant Man, was able to tackle one of the Chitauri Leviathans on his own. We have only ever seen two beings defeat the Hulk in single combat. One was the mighty Thanos, and the other was his own teammate.

When Banner left Earth after the battle with Ultron, the quinjet he took was programmed to recognise him as the strongest Avenger, and while this is a testament to the Hulk's strength, it is no longer accurate.
