27. Doctor Strange - Mordo's Turn
Scene: Karl Mordo (Chiwetel Ejiofer) meets Johnathan Pangborn (Benjamin Bratt), who regained the use of his legs thanks to the Mystic Arts. Mordo steals the energy from Pangborn and leaves him paralyzed once again, declaring that the world has "Too many sorcerers" and thus establishing himself as a new villain.
Now this was an awesome credits scene... at the time.
The reveal of Karl Mordo as a new villain was genuinely shocking (at least, for those who haven't read the comics) and saving his turn for this moment was a very wise move on Marvel's part. It was refreshing as hell to allow audiences to get to know Mordo before turning him into a villain, rather than just compressing it into one film.
Unfortunately, this scene went absolutely nowhere. This version of Mordo didn't appear once in Doctor Strange 2, so much like with the final credits scene of WandaVision, Doctor Strange 2 has kind-of ruined this in retrospect.
