A group of superheroes fighting together automatically gets a bumped cool factor when they're doing it in the name of justice or when they're combining to look after one of their own. Team Cap hit both of those briefs and had the added bonus of Giant Man being one of them. Paul Rudd improves all things.

Team Cap fought for Scarlet Witch's freedom, for superhero autonomy and in the belief that Bucky Barnes was still worth saving even after he killed hundreds of people. Yes there were reasons on Tony Stark's side, but they didn't have as firm a set of core values. And while they almost all ended up imprisoned on the Raft, that only happened because they were willing to sacrifice their liberty to save Bucky and stop Zemo.

Also, this team directly led to Hawkeye's glow-up into a genuinely interesting, slightly dark character, which is a massively positive change.
