1. The Guardians Of The Galaxy
The Avengers are great, obviously, but are they really as cool as the Guardians Of The Galaxy? The simple answer is no.
The Avengers are a more pure team (though some of them have red in their ledgers), while the Guardians are outright criminals (two of them with murder on their criminal records) who are thrust together by necessity and choose to do good together. Even after they thwarted Ronan, they could have basically just been an alternative Ravager group and they would have profited enormously, but something about them draws them to heroism.
They have added edge because they're bad guys gone good, they're more wounded, they're more badass and willing to bend more rules and they'll never have to bend to the will of a government. That's why they should be your champions.
