Every Pixar Movie Ranked Worst To Best

8. Toy Story 2 (1999)

Toy Story 2 was reportedly pretty close to disaster during its production, suffering through an abundance of creative clashes between the writers and the studio as well as a rushed completion that threatened to derail the whole thing.

Luckily, Pixar and the film's creative minds managed to overcome their adversity, and crafted a near-perfect sequel in the process. Building on Woody and Buzz's relationship and introducing audiences to Joan Cusack's brilliant Jessie, Toy Story 2 never loses the touch of comedy and drama that made its groundbreaking predecessor work so well.

Toy Story 2 is not only a top-notch exercise in world-building and character development, but a deeply emotional tale of family (only, y'know, with toys) and acceptance of one's past. Plus, who could possibly forget Jessie's slow motion "When She Loved Me" flashback? Tears. Every. Time.
