Every Saw Trap Ranked From Worst To Best
48. Saw IV - The Mausoleum
Trap: Two men were chained to a machine that would pull them in and eventually strangle them. Art's (Justin Louis) mouth was sewn shut and Trevor's (Kevin Rushton) eyes were sewn shut, making working together near-impossible. The keys to their shackles were on a collar around Trevor's neck.
This is one really badly-written trap.
It's mildly disturbing, but it's also incredibly illogical and confusing, since the two men aren't even given a bloody tape to explain why they're there or how to beat the trap.
The sewn-shut thing was a cool idea, but it didn't really fit this particular trap and only seemed there to make things harder; isn't the point of Jigsaw that all his games are meant to be winnable?
The final image of this scene, which is Art screaming and thus opening his stiches with blood pouring from his mouth, was a nice touch though.
