Trap: Simone (Tanedra Howard) and Eddie (Marty Moreau), two corrupt money lenders, had to cut parts of themselves off and put them on a set of scales. Whoever cut off the largest amount of flesh survived, while the other was killed by the device on their heads, which drilled into their skull. Ultimately, Simone survived by cutting off her arm.

Thanks to this terrific trap, Saw VI has one of the franchise's best opening scenes.

The painful, disturbing nature of the entire spectacle as well Kevin Greutert's smart, intense direction make this an absolutely nail-biting opening. Honestly, due to how brutal it is it's a bit of a relief when it finally concludes, but that's a sign as to how effective this scene really is.
