Every Stan Lee Cameo Ranked From Worst To Best
12. Fantastic Four: Rise Of The Silver Surfer (2007)
The second major Fantastic Four movie may be an utter trainwreck, but it does at least feature one of the funniest and weirdest Lee cameos to date.
Lee shows up at Reed Richards and Susan Storm's (Jessica Alba) wedding but finds himself turned away for not being on the guest list.
It's all the more amusing as Lee actually plays himself and even insists, "I'm Stan Lee!" to the security guard.
Some might find it a little too on-the-nose and obvious for its own good, but as a nod to a panel from 1965's Fantastic Four Annual #3, where Lee and co-creator Jack Kirby are similarly turned away, it's a crowd-pleasing hoot in a mostly depressing misfire of a movie.
11. Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017)
One of the strongest aspects across all the Spider-Man movies is how they make New York feel like a character in of itself, and this is felt arguably none better than in Spider-Man: Homecoming.
In an hilarious montage, Peter tries to give the locals a hand, but ends up webbing-up an innocent citizen trying to get into their car, causing the nearby Queens residents to turn on him.
At this moment, Lee pops his head out of an upstairs window and shouts at Peter, "Don't make me come down there, you punk!", before exchanging idle chit-chat with a neighbour across the street.
It's probably the most organic and down-to-Earth Lee cameo ever, with a distinctly old-school tone that feels ripped directly from the decades-old comics. Lee's delivery is perfection, too.
