8. Mace Windu & Jedi Vs. Palpatine - Revenge Of The Sith

Another controversial but undeniably entertaining battle sees Mace Windu and three other Jedi Masters showing up to arrest Palpatine, who promptly cuts the other Jedi down, leading to a one-on-one battle with Windu.

Though Ian McDiarmid isn't the most graceful actor when it comes to lightsaber-twirling, it suits the nature of the battle considering the tough combatant he's facing.

The fight is high-stakes, has a neat setting with the smashed window, and concludes in unforgettable fashion with Anakin's outside interference, slicing Windu's arm off and allowing Palpatine to defenestrate him.

Not only is the fight absolutely pivotal in Anakin's journey to the dark side, but it finally gives the criminally under-utilised Mace something bada** to do.
