Every Tom Cruise Movie Ranked From Worst To Best

6. A Few Good Men (1992)

Tom Cruise Interview With The Vampire
Columbia Pictures

Introducing the movie world to the almost lyrical intensity of Aaron Sorkin, A Few Good Men is about as fine a courtroom drama you're likely to find, pitting Cruise's conflicted Daniel Kaffee against an increasingly troubling case and the unstoppable power of Jack Nicholson's military leader Nathan Jessop.

Equal parts arrogant, confused, beaten-down and ultimately well-intended, Cruise carries Kaffee's compelling development through every twist and turn of Sorkin's fiery script.

It's hard going matching the magnetic and powerful presence of Nicholson, but Cruise comes out of the film looking very good, particularly in that final "You can't handle the truth!" showdown.
