5. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever
It’s difficult to put into words the feelings surrounding the release of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Bittersweet would be too much of an oversimplification, but there will be a lot of joy when the movie releases, along with more heartache and sadness than ever before.
Black Panther is to this day one of the most popular, most iconic, and culturally important comic book movies in recent memory. A sequel to such a phenomenal MCU outing is something to look forward to, but the fact that there will be no Chadwick Boseman is a tough pill to swallow.
The movie has been described as a tribute to the late great actor by director Ryan Coogler, and there is no doubt it will join the first Black Panther movie in the realms of the MCU greats. Emotion is sure to run incredibly high with this one, but it also looks to have every other hallmark quality of a great MCU movie.
Aside from returning to Wakanda, revealing the successor to T’Challa as the Black Panther, and potentially being the most emotional film of all 30 in the franchise, Wakanda Forever will also introduce two potentially key characters for the future of the franchise. Both Riri Williams and Namor are set to debut in just a month’s time, and after the two trailers for the movie, there’s seemingly no limit to how good they can be.
