Jackson's character has been ever present in the franchise, after the groundbreaking post-credit scene of Iron Man, and has appeared in more MCU movies than anyone else, and will now be getting his own series on Disney+. Other than Jackson's involvement, and Mr. Robot writer Kyle Bradstreet signing on as writer and executive producer, there are no details available right now.

Fury is a mysterious character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but since his past has already been explored in Captain Marvel, a prequel series seems unlikely. Instead, the show should focus on the future of the character, after leaving Earth behind to establish his SWORD programme in space.
