Tom Hiddleston has made Loki one of the most popular characters the MCU has to offer, and one who completed his redemption arc when he tried to kill Thanos in Infinity War. However, this will not be the Loki the Disney+ show will follow.

During the time heist in Avengers: Endgame, the Tesseract fell into Loki's lap, allowing him to use the infinity stone to vanish. Right now we don't know where he went, but this is exactly where the show will pick up from. With the character yet to experience his journey to heroism through The Dark World, Ragnarok, and Infinity War, we will see the God of Mischief as he was in Avengers Assemble - a tyrannical manic.
