10. The Beasts

For a movie called Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them, we see very little in the way of magical monsters or the ways they can be discovered. This may be down to the CGI not being ready, although we thankfully still get a couple of moments - Newt releasing a coiled, blue bird called a Swooping Evil during an underground action scene and a mole-like creature, which is actually a Niffler (first seen in The Goblet Of Fire), rolling under a piece of furniture with a purse.

A Niffler is an odd beast to keep locked up (or even call a beast), right? Well, here's where I have a little theory.

Dumbledore, Professor of Transfiguration, wanted to keep Newt at Hogwarts, odd given how Scamander's real talent is in Magizoology. But what if there's a crossover, and the "beasts" are really transformed humans being transported into America for unclear reasons? It doesn't have to directly involve Albus, but we do know he wasn't always as sage, so he may be up to something. This would add a darker undercurrent to the movie and instantly provide a pretty interesting plot to what could just be a cinematic zoo trip.
