Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes Of Grindelwald - 17 WTF Moments

12. Nagini Is Just...There

Fantastic Beasts The Crimes Of Grindelwald Nagini
Warner Bros.

Fans figured out long before the movie's release that Nagini (Claudia Kim) would appear in human form, but it's surprising just how little she actually does in the movie.

For starters, rather than get a ceremonious introduction at the circus, Credence just randomly addresses her as Nagini the first time we see her, which is rather deflating.

Though she physically appears in many scenes, she doesn't do much beyond stand around and occasionally pull Credence back from the brink, at which point you have to ask - why even bother having her be Nagini in the first place?

Or better yet, why not introduce her as purely human for now and save the snake reveal for a later movie where it might actually mean something?

Aside from that, did anyone really need Nagini to be anything more than Voldemort's pet?
