In the final minute of the movie, the ill chick Credence has been caring for throughout the film is transformed by Grindelwald into a fiery Phoenix, who in Potter lore will appear before Dumbledores in their time of need.

Any Potter fan worth their salt will surely assume that the Phoenix we see here is none other than Fawkes, the very same creature who appeared in Dumbledore's office way back in The Chamber of Secrets.

It's of course entirely possible that Rowling is toying with fans a little here, but either way, the connection is undeniably intentional.
