17. The Killing Curse

Shockingly enough, two babies are killed over the course of the movie, and the first is unfortunate enough to fall foul of Grindelwald during his hunt for Credence Barebone (Ezra Miller).

Grindelwald doesn't carry out the murder himself, but orders one of his lackeys to do it. Though the kill isn't shown on-screen, we do see the familiar green glow emanating from the door frame, clearly illustrating to even casual Potter fans that the poor kid has been put down with the Killing Curse.

Having the curse be cast on a baby is also likely a reference to the fact that Voldemort (Ralph Fiennes) of course once attempted to kill an infant Harry with it, only for the spell to backfire.
