Leta's Hogwarts-set flashback also contains a neat callback to the Prisoner of Azkaban, with Dumbledore teaching his class how to tackle the fear-embodying shape-shifters known as Boggarts by using the Boggart-banishing spell "Riddikulus."

The more expanded sequence in Azkaban follows the same basic beats, even taking place in the very same Hogwarts classroom, albeit with Professor Lupin (David Thewlis) as the Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher rather than Dumbledore.

On a more subtle level it also indicates that the more elemental teachings at Hogwarts haven't really changed much over the decades, and with Dumbledore presumably laying the groundwork, it's easy to understand why.
