The trailer also marks the first appearance of Leta Lestrange (Zoë Kravitz), who of course only appeared in image form in the first movie, and has major personal history to work through with Newt.

The pair were intimately linked in the past, but a mistake Leta made resulted in Newt being outcast from British wizarding society, and to rub salt in the wound, she's now engaged to Newt's brother Theseus. Oof.

In Leta's brief appearance in the trailer, she's seen watching an elegant dance performance, underlining her high-status, coming from an elite wizarding family.
