3. A Trip Through The Multiverse
In Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, fans will follow the Sorcerer Supreme through the Marvel Multiverse as he presumably visits different timelines and realities. In the comic books, Franklin Richards - the son of Reed and Sue - has the power to create new worlds, so what if he's somehow tied to the Multiverse and that leads to the Fantastic Four entering the MCU?
Honestly, there's a risk things could end up getting a tad too complicated here, but Franklin also created the "Heroes Reborn" universe which essentially rebooted the comic books and created a new world for the team to live in. Perhaps the MCU has a secret history which saw the X-Men and Fantastic Four sent to a different world, and this sequel will finally combine them all?
There are worse ways to throw those characters into the mix, and there's a chance this sort of approach could tie into the rumoured Illuminati project Marvel Studios has in the works (which is about a covert team of superheroes who have manipulated events for what they perceive to be the greater good). Oh, and guess what? Mister Fantastic just so happens to be a founding member...
