Fantastic Four Reboot: 10 Ways To Guarantee It Won't Suck

2. Assemble A Good Cast

I'm not saying that Jessica Alba, Chris Evans, Ioan Gruffudd or Michael Chiklis were bad actors - far from it - just that they were wrong to play the roles they were given. Here's the four proper choices: Mr Fantastic/Reed Richards: David Tennant. Come on, you know you want this. He's pretty much identical in every way to Reed from the comic. Tall, skinny, could easily pass as a science nerd and we know he's a brilliant actor. Casting him would make the fans wet their pants, because it's really perfect casting. Invisible Woman/Sue Storm-Richards: Alice Eve. She proved she's good with big roles in big films in last year's Star Trek into Darkness. It'd be really interesting to see how she'd handle playing a superhero, there's plenty of angst and drama for her to sink her teeth into as well, so if she wants an acting challenge, here it is. And she's pretty hot, too. Human Torch/Johnny Storm: Alex Pettyfer. After seeing him in a lot of teen dramas and comedy films, as well as Magic Mike, he really does seem to be a great choice to play the bad-boy/rebel of the Fantastic Four, as well as Sue's brother. Making both the Storms English might be an interesting route to go and could offer different perspectives on the plot (culture clash?) if they wanted to go that way. The Thing/Ben Grimm: Randy Couture. Everybody's seen this hulk of a man in the Expendables films, and after seeing him in various other productions, he would be a great Ben Grimm/The Thing. He has a great sense of humour, but would also portray The Thing with a heart and a soul, whilst also being able to carry action scenes and deliver lots of bad-ass one liners and justice. Look at him, and then look at The Thing. He was made to play the role. And, speaking of The Thing...
