Fast & Furious 8: 12 Things We Want To See

4. No More Mia

One big question left hanging at the end of Furious 7 is what the future holds for Dom's sister Mia, or rather, the actress who plays her, Jordana Brewster, who has to date appeared in all of the movies except for 2 Fast 2 Furious and Tokyo Drift, making her as much a component of the series as anyone. However, with Brian O'Conner retiring to care for his family in order to give Paul Walker a clean send-off, it wouldn't really make much sense for Mia to then turn around and continue putting herself in danger. After all, it would completely undermine the entire idea of O'Conner's retirement. The series could probably get away with a phone call between Dom and Mia where an out-of-focus Brian can be seeing playing with the kids in the background, but anything else would seem ridiculous. It's a shame for Brewster, because Walker's death has essentially killed a huge cash cow for her (and she doesn't exactly do much acting outside of this franchise), but keeping her around is definitely a bad idea.
