Fast X: 25 WTF Moments
7. Jakob's Sacrificial Death
Despite initially getting the upper-hand on the pursuers, Jakob is eventually unable to stop Little B being grabbed out of the cannon car when he climbs onto the back to fix the malfunctioning cannons.
Feeling guilt for letting Dom's son get taken by the enemy, he decides to "redeem" himself by making the ultimate sacrifice - using the cannons to catapult the car into the path of Dante's goons, taking them and himself out in a gigantic, explosive fireball.
For one, that seemed like a total overreaction on Jakob's part - surely he's more useful alive than dying to stop a couple of Dante's guys? And couldn't he have jumped out of the car a few seconds before it blew up?
More to the point, given the series' track record with resurrecting dead characters, does anyone really believe Jakob's actually gone for good?
