Feige hints at HULK appearance in THE AVENGERS!

Do you remember The Incredible Hulk? That pretty wretched Marvel blockbuster that lived in Iron Man's shadow two years ago, and hardly made a dime more than Ang Lee's 2003 movie, which supposedly itself was a box office disaster? Well the fortunate of you won't remember it, and those that do are probably trying very had to forget it, right? Thankfully no sequel has been commissioned thus far and doesn't look like it ever will be. However that doesn't necessarily mean Bruce Banner/Hulk is done on film. One question we haven't really had a definite answer to since Hulk's release is whether Marvel's green monster would make up part of The Avengers, as that seemed to be the idea of why Robert Downey Jr made a cameo in his universe in the first place - setting up for bigger things and all that. Marvel's head Kevin Feige has kinda dodged, avoided completely and given non-affirmative answers to the question for two years but this week, actually seemed to give a firm response that the Hulk would indeed appear in the 2012 team-up...

...by the time The Avengers comes in 2012 its not just a team super hero movie with a bunch of characters with powers, its three people, four including Hulk, five including Nick Fury-who you have seen before in other movies, coming together for the very first time.€
When asked if it would be Edward Norton returning to the role, despite the animosity that is probably still there between Norton and the studio over the final cut of the 2007 picture, he said;
I think there€™s a chance, its certainly our intention to use the same actors from film to film where we can.
The Avengers is set for May 4th 2012, and will be made up ofIron Man, Captain America (who gets his own movie on 22nd July 2011), Thor(who gets his own movie 20th May 2011), Nick Fury, Hulk... and we expect Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson's character in Iron Man 2) and possibly a few more as yet announced. But the above mentioned is the core group.
