Fernando Meirelles tackling Love Labor's Lost

loves-labors.jpgFernando Meirelles is set to take on a different kind of movie. The Brazilian director will helm Love Labor's Lost, a romantic comedy loosely based on the Shakespeare comedy of the same name which will revolve around the relationships of students. Merielles previously directed the "over-stylized" City of God (although I did enjoy it) and the "I'm going to make you feel sick with my shaky camera but it will make my film look oh so clever" The Constant Gardner. His next movie Blindess stars Julianne Moore and Daniel Craig and is due out next March. I think this guy has tremendous talent, and if he's not trying to hard to translate a political message then his films might seem a bit more relaxed and coherent. source - aicn, variety
