First Look: Sacha Baron Cohen As THE DICTATOR

Having fooled the public with his outrageous characters Borat and Bruno, isn't fearless Brit funnyman Sacha Baron Cohen now too famous, his face too globally well known to getaway with this gorilla style of public humiliating comedy? And is anyone really going to see that guy above and not run a million miles knowing exactly what is coming? The Dictator is now filming, the third movie in the improvisational comedy trilogy that re-teams Cohen with director Larry Charles. Cohen plays two roles, one of an outlawed foreign dictator who finds himself lost in America and is loosely based on the memoirs of Saddam Hussein (!) and the other as goat herder. The Huffington Post released our first look at Cohen's new get-up this week and well, you would have to be extremely stupid to be fooled by it. Full image after the jump; Co-starring in The Dictator is Ben Kingsley as a Middle Eastern character, Jason Mantzoukas as the dictator's sidekick and Anna Faris as a love interest and owner of a food store. Deadline gave us a meatier plot last month;
Baron Cohen plays a ruthless dictator who heads to the U.S. for a meeting at the United Nations and finds that his number two has replaced him with an unsuspecting sheepherder lookalike. As the dictator wanders the city, he meets the owner of an organic food store€ She turns around his dictatorial thinking, and there€™s a little romance in it as well.
Earlier in the week, Movieweb took a snap of Cohen in stars and stripes attire; The Dictator is due May 11th, 2012. Hopefully it'll be more Borat than Bruno.
