First VALKYRIE poster!

United Artists and actor/producer/studio head Tom Cruise have released the first poster for the Christmas release VALKYRIE which doesn't fail in catching the eye. I like the poster quite a bit, it's different to the usual WW-II story and hopefully gets across the message that this is a big ensemble piece. Based on an actual group of men led by Col. Claus von Stauffenberg (Tom Cruise) the film will depict Operation Valkyrie, the attempt by British and German officers to assassinate Hitler during the height of his Nazi power. David Bamber plays Hitler. Tom Wilkinson, Eddie Izzard, Kenneth Branagh, Bill Nighy, Terrence Stamp, Carice Van Houten, Kevin McNally and Thomas Kretschmann support what is a fine ensemble cast. The film, given a PG-13, is Bryan Singer's first non superhero film since his movie about an aging Nazi war criminal in APT PUPIL ten years ago. source - rope of silicon
