I was hoping
Fred Claus would be a fun but maybe slightly darker and cynical Santa Claus tale than we are use too.
Vince Vaughn did that quite well for the black relationship comedy
The Break-Up. Unfortunately he looks to be in his all too conventional mode here. Despite the genius casting of
Paul Giamatti as Santa Claus, he's just not doing it for me either. There doesn't seem to be a whole lot new about Fred Claus.
