Frozen 2: 9 Ways The Sequel Improved On The Original

1. The Animation And Visuals

Though critics are mixed on the film's story, one thing everyone agrees unanimously on is how truly stunning and artistic the visuals in this film are, Frozen 2 beating Frozen out by a country mile. From the programmers who developed the software to the artists and animators who designed the look for this film, everyone deserves praise for how much they put into develop the film from the first in 2013 to now.

Not only does the animation make for awe-inspiring spectacle, it also tells a story, more so than most films, with the symbols for the elements Elsa would eventually unite present throughout. Everything Elsa sees in the black otherworld happens in the film, such as the watery Nokk, the jumping fire, the stone giants, and her own parents' relationship as children.

The film even tells you Elsa is what she herself is looking for, with the wisp that she chases in her musical number, Into The Unknown, coming directly from her own magic.

Finally, the non-snowflake that's featured in all the marketing - the subject of Neil Degrasse-Tyson's scrutiny and Jennifer Lee's hinting - told audiences long before the film premiered exactly what to expect, regarding Elsa's fate.
