Frozen: 8 Reasons Why Prince Hans Is Actually Disney's Lamest Ever Villain

3. He Doesn't Have Any Unique Powers

As discussed, all villains need an evil scheme, but such plans, however, aren€™t worth anything if the villain doesn€™t have the powers to back them up. If the villain doesn€™t have the brains, brawn, or the combination of both necessary to thwart their nemesis then they are going to find themselves out of a gig very, very quickly. Throughout the Disney rogues' gallery there is a heady mix of different powers: Snow White€™s Evil Queen, Maleficent, Jafar, and Ursula all had the right magic skills to morph their bodies into different creatures. Scar had cunning, Gaston had muscles to spare, whilst Frollo and Cruella De Ville both had enough vindictiveness to ensure that they weren€™t villains who were going to be foiled so easily. Because of this, they were able to trouble our heroes (at least for a little while), and bring their evil schemes that much closer to fruition. If Hans has any real skill in Frozen it is that he is a good liar. In the space of one night he manages to convince Anna that they are in love and should get married €“ no mean feat, even if this is a Disney film where whirlwind romances are the norm. The problem, though, is that he undoes all this hard work by revealing his lie to Anna whilst she and Elsa are still alive, leaving the door open for them to foil his scheme (he obviously took tips from some of Bond€™s villains). It is a stupid move, which seems to be made only to drive the plot along, and suddenly renders his greatest skill utterly useless.
