Ghostbusters: 21 WTF Moments In The Female Remake
1. The Product Placement
At times, Ghostbusters feels like an extended riff on the Product Placement gag in Wayne's World.
There's a distractingly obvious Pringles paid position, which actually raises a smile (thanks to its allusion to salty parabolas), but is still as painful as the Cheez-Its moment in the original (it's just as unforgivable even when it's in the sanctified original).
And as for the Papa Johns placement: it's not even a New York pizza company. That might have made it a little bit less obvious, but the way the pizza boxes were placed, it might as well have been a tie-in advert with them sitting around after a hard day's 'Bustin' discussing how Papa's really do have spookily low prices.
