3. Shia LaBoef
First of all, he has carried a franchise before; and although some will say it tarnished his career, as an actor he worked relatively well with CGI (which I assume the ghosts etc will be) and
is entertaining to watch. With roots in comedy (coming from Disney' Channel's Even Stevens and Disney's Holes) it's a sure thing that he would be willing to sit down and at least take a look at the script. The original Ghostbusters was applauded for its humor and wit, something that this young actor has plenty of. He's also showed a desire to branch into different genres with the recent Lawless among others (a solid attempt with Disturbia, Shia...solid) so a situation like this really has the potential to be a project he could be enthusiastic about! What he needs is a good role, and what Aykroyd and company have created to fill the void left by Murray is likely to be a pretty amazing role. And if it's not, it won't be on you, Shia!
