Ghostbusters: Every Cameo Ranked From Worst To Best

It was inevitable that Slimer would appear, given his popularity as a character in both the originals and the Real Ghostbusters animated series (which was actually retooled to have him as the main character by the end). But there was an opportunity here not to make the famous green ghost just an annoying, floating snot.

The nod to his appearance in the original (I'm pretty sure he's attacking the same hotdog stand, albeit with upgrades) is nice, but everyone seems to forget that Slimer is a Class 5 entity (and thus higher than Vigo). He's supposed to be difficult to catch and a genuine menace: but in the new film he's an idiot who comes with a seemingly fellow idiot wife FOR NO REASON and who is tricked into killing himself. Despite the fact that he clearly knows how to drive, and as such should know where the bloody brake pedal is.

If he's coming back for a sequel, they need to give him the billing he actually deserves.
